Our program is tailored for children of Pakistani heritage, between the ages of 4–19, who want to learn Urdu and connect with their cultural roots. Whether your child is a complete beginner or already fluent in Urdu, our courses are designed to help them improve their Urdu skills and knowledge of Pakistani culture.

No prior knowledge is needed! We welcome complete beginners and use fun, engaging methods to help your child learn Urdu step by step.
Your child should be comfortable with either English or Urdu. We use a bilingual teaching approach to make classes accessible to all learners who know either or both languages. All of our teachers are fluent in English and Urdu.
We accommodate families everywhere worldwide, including but not limited to the United States (USA), UK, Canada, Germany, Italy, Spain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, and Pakistan.
We cater to time zones everywhere internationally, including North America, Europe, the Middle East, South East Asia and Australia. Flexible scheduling ensures classes fit your time zone.
While our focus is on Pakistani overseas expat families, anyone interested in learning Urdu and exploring Pakistani culture is welcome to join.

Our programs are designed to be completely independent of parental support as long as your child is a willing participant and can use the simple technology tools involved in the program.
Parents are welcome to observe the first few classes to ensure their child is comfortable, but we encourage kids to engage independently to build confidence.
While parental involvement is not mandatory, we do encourage parents, who can spare the time, to support their child’s learning journey by encouraging practice at home.

You’ll need a computer or tablet with a webcam, microphone, and a stable internet connection.
No additional software is needed beyond what your computer or tablet already has.
Our classes are conducted via a video call conferencing platform similar to Zoom or Google meet. We’ll also provide access to e-books PDFs, learning resources and web based tools through our platform, which you may need to access via a web browser included with your computer or tablet.
There are some optional mobile and desktop applications available for Windows, Mac, Linux, Apple and Android if you prefer using them over a web browser, but they are not compulsory for participation in the program.
Classes are conducted through our web conferencing software (Video call) similar to Zoom. All interactions for the classes will happen through a web browser.
Our classes are intentionally designed to be 30 minutes long to match the attention span and energy levels of young learners. This focused, bite-sized format helps students stay engaged, absorb material more effectively, and build confidence without feeling overwhelmed. It also allows for consistent, high-quality instruction while making it easier to fit into busy family schedules.
Our Urdu classes are offered 2–3 times per week, depending on the package you choose. Sessions can be scheduled on any day that works best for your child’s routine, offering maximum flexibility to fit your family’s schedule.
We use a bilingual approach—combining Urdu and English—to ensure each child feels comfortable and confident as they learn. As your child progresses, the use of Urdu is gradually increased to build fluency in a natural and supportive way.
Progress is tracked against expected learning objectives and outcomes as part of our program. Our learning supervisors coordinate closely with your child’s teachers and instructors to ensure that your child makes measurable gains at a pace appropriate for them. Parents will receive updates, and we offer one-on-one feedback sessions to address any concerns.
Our in-house curriculum is designed by experienced Urdu educators to focus on practical language skills, cultural awareness, and interactive learning—keeping children engaged and motivated. Each lesson is then customized by your child’s Urdu teacher to match their unique pace and learning style. As students progress, the curriculum gradually introduces more elements of formal Urdu education to build deeper proficiency and confidence.

Cultural education includes Pakistani history, geography, etiquettes, values, traditions, architecture, cuisine, music, art, subcultures and folklore, helping children build a strong connection to their heritage.

Our instructors are highly trained educators with expertise in teaching Urdu and Pakistani culture to children. They bring a combined 50 years+ of experience and a passion for education.
We use secure online platforms that are proactively monitored and moderated at all times. All data regarding children is strictly regulated and all staff members of Discover Urdu undergo thorough background checks.
Currently, we focus on Urdu, but we do have plans to expand to include other regional languages such as Punjabi, Pashto, Sindhi, Saraiki, Balochi and Hindko in the future. Stay tuned for updates!
Our program focus exclusively on Urdu language and cultural education and do not include religious studies. We may consider introducing optional religious studies in the future if there is popular demand but at the moment we do not have any plans for this. If this is something you would like, let us know and we can try accommodate your needs.
We are an online-first platform but are exploring options for offline events in the future.
Yes, we occasionally host workshops to help parents support their child’s learning journey.
In the future, we plan to offer intensive half-day or full-day online Urdu camps during school breaks in the summer and winter. These seasonal camps will provide a fun and immersive learning experience, allowing students to make rapid progress through extended sessions focused on language development, cultural activities, games, and creative projects. They’ll be a great opportunity for children to deepen their connection with Urdu in a dynamic, engaging environment while school is out.
